Accessibility

Last updated: August 2026

We want World Billionaires Day to be usable by as many people as possible, including readers using screen readers, keyboard navigation or magnification.

What we aim for

We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our reference standard. We do not claim full conformance — this is an active area of work rather than a finished one, and stating otherwise would be dishonest.

What is in place

  • Semantic headings and landmarks so pages can be navigated by structure.
  • Descriptive alternative text on editorial and profile images.
  • Keyboard-reachable navigation, menus and share controls.
  • Text that reflows and remains readable when zoomed or on small screens.
  • Colour combinations chosen for contrast against our dark and light themes.

Known limitations

  • Images supplied by third-party publishers may carry less descriptive alternative text than our own.
  • Some data-dense tables and carousels are harder to navigate non-visually, and are on our list to improve.

Telling us about a problem

If something here is difficult or impossible for you to use, we would genuinely like to know. Contact us through the contact page with the page address and a short description of the barrier, and what you were trying to do. We treat these reports as bugs and prioritise them accordingly.
